I am part of The Addictive Sketcher Movement and so I have access to the hub where I can view new but also old recording video from Adebanji Alade about sketching. I haven’t been through all of them yet, but I watched couple of his previous portrait sketching.

I sketched Benjamin Zephaniah’s portrait in same time I was following the instruction of Adebanji in the video. I used the Jumbo 9000 graphite pencils and blended the sketch with blending stumps. I used the Tombow mono zero eraser for the highlights, and a bit of white Posca pen for further highlights in the teeth.

I also did the portrait of this actress I forgot the name. I think she is an actress, let me know in the comment if you recognise her. I also think I did the sketch before or after watching the video, so not in same time than the instructions given by Adebanji. I found that my sketching is different and better when I sketch in same time than the instructions compared to sketched on my own. I used the same material as for the portrait of Benjamin Zephaniah, at the difference of using the white Posca marker for the eye highlights.

As I am continuing to upload my previous sketches, in term of portraiture, I did so far and in addition to these two: Sanjeev Bhaskar as DI Sunil ‘Sunny’ Khan, Alan Ritchson as Jack Reacher, Bill Skarsgård’s as The Crow, James May, Emily Campbell, and Henry Cavill. I have few other portrait sketched that I just have to blog here.
