Sketch of Bill Skarsgård’s (as The Crow) portrait

One daily prompt from the Sketch a Day app was Crow. While I had the obvious choice of drawing the bird, the first thing that came to my mind was the movie The Crow. Funny enough, I actually never seen any movie of the The Crow, whether the 1994 or the more recent remake in 2024. I didn’t read the comic book neither, so I genuinely have no clue what is it about other than it is a staple in the goth world (at least it used to be).

Concerning the sketching, I set on the new movie of The Crow, the one with Bill Skarsgård playing as Eric Draven / The Crow. I enjoyed drawing The Crow on my usual sketch book, using Faber Castell graphite pencils Jumbo 9000. Because I needed to go darker for the dark blood, I also use my darkest Faber Castell graphite pencil set (10B, 12B, 14B). For the highlights, I used the Tombow mono eraser and a white Posca marker pen.
