A recent prompt for Sketch A Day was Well, so I sketched the portrait of Herbert George (H.G.) Wells using graphite pencils. I used to sketch to much into dark values, but I am getting better at it. H.G. Wells is an excellent English writer, who wrote The war of the world, The island of Dr Morreau, or Invisible man. I read those three, and need to catch up on his other books, especially Time Machine.

I used my usual graphite pencils Jumbo 9000 on my sketchbook, and blended the graphite using my blending stumps. I used my Tombow mono zero eraser for the highlights. On my sketching today (not this one), I had to order new eraser recharges for it as I loaded the last one I had.
