After my first life / live drawing course, I realised how much I enjoy live drawing, and I have subscribed to the full course to continue. Now, I am also mainly drawing or sketching using charcoal, and below are the sketches from my second life drawing lesson.

#ads: All Amazon affiliation links in this article are items I really bought and used.
I am so in love with Charcoal, so I bought several charcoal items to learn to use them: Willow charcoal, the main form of charcoal I use. Then compressed charcoal for when I want darker mark. I also have charcoal pencils but I use it less than compressed charcoal. I also started to use charcoal powder thanks to the Domestika course: Expressive Drawing with Charcoal by Tianyin Wang. I like use it, and should use it more. Finally, I found and bought tinted charcoal paint set that you can use like watercolour, but I have not used it yet. The only type of charcoal I didn’t bought is liquid charcoal as apparently it is very expensive for not much difference compared to adding water to charcoal powder. I would also assume it to be then similar to the paint set as a final effect, but I have not tested so I can’t say more for it for now.
As I am going regularly to live drawing class, I will post regularly the result on this blog.
