Back with painting food! Since I did the Blue blue class, I decided to do a food journaling using watercolour paint. Each time I eat outside, I take a picture of the food for painting it later.
I recently went to Miller & Carter thanks to a gift voucher I got for Christmas. I love going to Miller & Carter for their 10 oz angus beef fillet mignon and their lettuce wedge with blue cheese sauce.

For the food journaling, I treated myself by buying a pocket size Moleskine watercolour notebook, I am so please with it and I now understand why people love Moleskine notebook. I used some Rosemary & Co brushes, and my usual Winsor & Newton watercolour paints, which I also got as a gift for Christmas.

I use my usual pencil to trace the sketch of the food which I erase with my kneaded rubber. Then I painted my full meal with beef croquettes as a starter, angus steak for the main with peppercorn sauce, salad wedge with blue cheese and stilton dressing, and camembert mash potato. The perfect meal to treat yourself if you like this type of food.
Overall, I struggle with watercolour, but I am learning and it is getting better compared to the first time I used watercolour for something a bit detailed, not a generic landscape.
