I haven’t read the book series Reacher by Lee Child but I know that they are fun to read as my partner have read some of them and enjoyed them. I might not have read the books, despite having them, I love the TV series on Amazon Prime, so it wasn’t long until I try to draw the portrait of Alan Ritchson as Jack Reacher!

I used my usual Faber Castell graphite pencil Jumbo 9000 on a sketchbook. I like the idea to only sketch and add shadows to the face and skin but letting the clothes as just outer line sketched. I am still struggling with drawing now, so it was the case about two months ago (29 March 2025) when I did this portrait. I use blending stumps for the shadows, the Tombow mono eraser for the highlights, red and blue Posca pens for the blood highlight in his left face, and for his eyes.
