In the continuation of leather hairpin to learn to craft leather, I did a simple Celtic type design with two infinite loops. This time it went a bit better in term of carving, yet the dye was and still is a struggle for me. It doesn’t help that I use the yellow and and black duo color so any mistakes will be visible.

I again used scrap leather bought from ArtisanLeather. I bought the yellow and black Fiebing pro dyies, resolene, tokonole and neatfoot oil from Abbey England. Finally I bought some leather tooling (stamping, beveler and background) from Amazon, as well as the wooded hair pin to make this leather Celtic hairpin.
I very much enjoy crafting leather hair pin, and I will probably do more in the futur.
